Rating
If you like the country French look, this wrought iron and wicker wine rack is a good deal. It’s attractive, easy to assemble with the supplied wrench (I am not especially skilled at putting these things together), and sturdy. The wicker is not shellacked, as it is on many chairs and baskets (what do you want for 36 bucks?), but it’s still pretty nice. Unlike the photo here, the sides are actually decorated with black metal vine leaves, which are sort of nice. The main things, though, are that this wine rack is attractive, assembles in about 15 minutes (you don’t have to look at the instructions), and is worth the price. Previously I purchased two wine racks from Winsome that were $10 to $20 more expensive. They were junk. The cheap screws did not fit into the cheap nuts, so the racks could not be assembled. But even if they could be, the stain was too thin in some places, too thick in others, and the cheap, thin wood easily cracked during my attempted assembly. This wicker wine rack is a vast improvement. It isn’t better than what it looks like, but at least it’s as good as what it looks like, and the price is right.
