I ordered two units of the Winsome Wood Kingston “X” Design. I assembled the first one without any problem. It looked just as I expected. Works great for the space I have. The second came with a defective part. The insters that make the “X” in the middle were cut wrong so they don’t fit in the cube. I sent a fax two weeks ago (per the manufacturer’s requirement) asking for replacement inserts. To date, I have not heard back from anyone. It is a shame because the unit looks fine.

This wood is cheap, I would put it at a level above balsa wood. I thought it was going to break while being put together. The wood plugs are too small for the screw holes and they fell out. There was a gouge right through the finish on one side but we managed to hide it. Still considering returning it.

Although this wine rack is one of the cheapest out there, this does not make it a good buy. For me, two of the screws wouldn’t even fit in their designated areas making the whole rack very unstable. I also managed to almost break the millimeter thing warped boarding on the top during assembly. Don’t buy this rack.

I thought this rack was great. I love the style because it reminds me of the way wineries display their wine. The quality was fine for the price. Mine is very sturdy. Assembly took about 5 minutes and was easy as long as you have everything aligned correctly. It arrived fast, without damage.

I put this cube in an existing open kitchen cabinet ( taking a shelf out) and I love the look of it. It was easy to put together, just don’t tighten all the screws until they are all in. then tighten. It hold a lot of wine and looks great.
