White wines chardonnay and Riesling mostly are very common to have with lighter meals or meals that take place earlier in the day. Blush wines are mostly used for picnics they are rarely used with large meals. And then the desert ones like ports of Sherries are usually had with pastries and other sweet foods.

Now that you know about types of wines, now you need to understand how to decide which type is the best for you and the occasion. People use a Three Ps system when it comes to deciding which wine they want to buy. The first P refers to the price of the wine, which is obvious price will always have an effect on whether you purchase something or not. In fact, there are many types of wine that can be bought for as little as $15 good wines, too, not cheap wine.

The next P usually stands for preference, which is a very important detail when it comes to picking out wines. This means that, if youre throwing a party, youre going to need to take into account whether or not the stronger wines will be appropriate time for them. Its a better idea to stick to the softer red wines like merlot or pinot noir just to make sure that everyone can drink it. And if you want a white wine instead, buy chardonnay or pinot blanc instead.

The final P stands for pairing with is important as well. That refers to whatever youre going to be drinking the wine with that meal youre going to pair it with. White wines go best with lighter meals like fish or chicken while red wines are best suited for meals that contain red meat. No matter the choice, following the Three Ps is the best way to pick the perfect wine.
